My wife Sarah and I have been serving with the Navigators since February 2007. My experience working as an international student advisor at Pellissippi State Techincal Community College in Knoxville and Sarah’s experience serving as a child sponsor, volunteer and advocate for Compassion International gave both of us a heart for international missions. Our passion was further deepened during two short-term mission trips that we took together to Tijuana Christian Mission with our church. We knew that we wanted to be a part of God’s work in international missions, but didn’t know what it would look like.
Finally, God opened a door when Paul Slay, who had served in international student ministry with the Navigators since the mid 1990’s invited us to be a part of local Navigator activities and later invited us to be on staff. We are so thrilled to be a part of this important Kingdom work.
